Reconsideration
I am in the process of reconsidering how I will use this blog. I will keep any potential readers posted. It is likely to be something substantially different than what I originally intended. We shall see...

Oh.
A friend explained to me that a "feed" simply allows subscribers to find out whether I have added some new posts to my blog. The "feed" lets them know the titles of my new posts just by clicking on their toolbar, without coming to the website.
Sounds good. Subscribe away. Thanks, JP.

'Feed'?
Over on the right margin it says, "Subscribe to this blog's feed." I haven't the slightest idea what that means. I didn't even know I had a "feed." I'll try and figure out what that means and let all my readers (i.e. myself) know.
I wish the margins for this center column were larger. A lot of space is taken up on the far left and far right of this blog by the background grey margins where you can't post anything. Unusable space, but you get what you pay for.

So far TypePad has been relatively easy to figure out. There are a few features that I don't yet know how to use, but so far their explanations are helpful and straightforward. However, I am using their lowest-priced service (after a free 30-day trial), and there are some features that I won't have access to unless I up the ante and pay for a more advanced service. And since I'm a law student (i.e. poverty-stricken), that's not likely...
This is very interesting, posting on a blog before anyone knows of its actual existence. Right now this is a personal blog with no readership. I plan on "launching" the blog (i.e. declaring to the blogosphere and other interested parties "I exist") on February 1st. Until then I am merely getting everything in order and learning the basic procedures involved, which are actually quite simple.
"A man said to the universe: 'Sir, I exist!' 'However,' replied the Universe, 'The fact has not created in me a sense of obligation.'" - Stephen Crane
